Chocolate cake recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups of flour
- 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 teaspo salt
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/2 cup of cooking oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 a cup of milk
- 1 cup of hot water
- 2 spoons of vanilla essence or chocolate essence
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C
- Soft your flour and cocoa powder
Mix all your dry ingredients
- On the dry ingredients add all wet ingredients except for the hot water.
- Mix well ,your batter will be stiff as there is cocoa to loosen it up add hot water.
- Stir until everything is incorporated.
- Do not overmix
- Pour your batter on your baking pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Stick a toothpick to see if it’s ready
- If it comes out dry its ready if not then continue to bake.
